Introducing BuskerThis isn't a portfolio or brochure site. With Busker I'm concentrating on sharing ideas and information about things happening in the the realms I operate in or which interest me. It will be a collection of essays, blog posts, articles and commentary on trends that affect the world of brands and marketing communications.
Busker will also be lab for trying techniques, ideas and tools I might share with clients. I also intend to defy the 'rules' and conventions. That's one of the joys of operating in a niche - many practices normalised by large organisations percolate through the entire market but are often irrelevant to smaller businesses. Conventional wisdom and repeating fashionable jargon probably won't help you to grow your business. |
Leadership in the era of networksWe live in a post-linear world. What does this mean for marketers?
Healthcare trends - new opportunitesThe healthcare market is worth trillions and it's changing. new entrants are seeing opportunities to exploit emerging technology, emerging markets and changing demographics.

Coffee Consulting"Can I just pick your brains?" It's a common refrain these days. Informal testing of ideas is more common with flexible office time and greater opportunities to connect via social platforms. But what is the threshold - how much of your time and expertise should you give away?
Should you hire a graphic designer with a signature style? All designers have a signature style (whether they think so or not). Maybe you should go with a designer that brings a more practiced vision to your project? Take a look at a designer with one of the most recognisable visual styles in the world.
